Last updated: July 2, 2026
ADF Connect is the membership platform for the African Drone Forum. It helps members create profiles, browse opportunities, access African drone-sector intelligence, participate in events, and connect with the wider ecosystem.
Who operates ADF Connect
ADF Connect is operated for the African Drone Forum by Global Air U. For privacy questions, requests, or complaints, contact info@africandroneforum.org.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, organisation name, role, country or primary market, profile details, directory preferences, onboarding progress, and support requests.
We also collect technical information needed to run the service, such as authentication records, session data, security logs, browser/device information, and basic usage activity.
Member profile and directory data
If you choose to appear in the member directory, selected profile information may be visible to other authenticated members according to your visibility and contact settings. You can update these settings inside ADF Connect.
Payment-related data
Paid membership plans may be processed through payment providers such as Paystack. ADF Connect stores payment references, plan status, and subscription state, but payment card details are handled by the payment provider and are not stored in ADF Connect.
Google user data
If you choose to sign in with Google or connect a Google-powered feature in the future, ADF Connect will request only the minimum Google data needed to provide the feature you choose. For Google sign-in, this may include your name, email address, and basic profile information needed to authenticate your account.
We use Google user data only to provide user-facing features you choose to activate, maintain account security, troubleshoot support requests, and comply with applicable law. We do not use Google user data for advertising.
Google API Limited Use statement
ADF Connect's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or allow humans to read it unless you ask us to, it is necessary for security or abuse investigation, it is required to comply with law, or the data has been aggregated and anonymised for internal operations.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate users, provide the member dashboard, display directory profiles according to user settings, deliver opportunities and intelligence, manage events and resources, process membership plans, provide support, protect the platform, and improve reliability.
Sharing of information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help operate ADF Connect, such as hosting, database, authentication, email, analytics, automation, and payment providers. These providers may process data only as needed to deliver the service. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect users, the platform, or the public.
Data storage, retention, and deletion
We keep account and profile information while your account remains active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your account or connected data by contacting us. We will delete or anonymise data unless retention is legally required or needed for legitimate security and compliance purposes.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including authenticated access, role-based controls, database security policies, and secure hosting practices. No internet service is completely secure, but we work to protect member data against unauthorised access, misuse, alteration, or loss.
Your choices and controls
You can update your profile, directory visibility, contact permissions, and notification preferences in settings. You may revoke Google access from your Google Account permissions page where applicable, or contact us for support.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform evolves. The latest version will always be posted on this page.
